Square angle steel tower is the most commonly used form in our country. Its advantages are simple construction, convenient processing, transportation and installation. Steel structures require less welding, making quality control easier. They have a sturdy and stable appearance. In addition, because the unit price of angle steel is low, the construction cost is also relatively low. However, its disadvantages include greater steel consumption, higher basic costs than other tower types, and larger floor space. In addition, the shape coefficient of the angle steel tower is large and the maximum number of components is also limited. Therefore, they are not suitable for situations with high wind pressure and high altitudes. It is recommended to use it in situations with medium to low wind pressure and good geological conditions.

Square steel tube towers are generally used in high-load high-speed railway towers, such as television towers, microwave towers, etc. Compared with the angle steel tower, this tower has a small shape coefficient, fewer additional parts on the tower body, and lower foundation load-bearing requirements. It also has a smaller footprint. However, its disadvantages are that it requires high processing requirements for steel pipes, requiring precision machining components such as column connecting flanges. The processing cycle is longer than that of angle steel towers, it requires higher technical requirements for construction personnel, and the unit price of steel pipes is higher. This tower type is suitable for communication towers with high wind pressure, large height and heavy load.

The cost of a general communication tower includes the cost of the steel structure tower body and foundation. The foundation cost accounts for a certain proportion, especially in areas with poor ground conditions, the foundation cost may even exceed that of the steel structure. Another major advantage of steel tube towers is that the lifting force on the foundation is significantly smaller than that of angle steel towers. Therefore, in areas with poor ground conditions and high wind pressure, the use of steel tube towers can effectively reduce foundation costs. It is recommended to be used in areas with strong coastal wind pressure and poor ground conditions.
